Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 29, 2026

Daily inc. ("we") provides the DailyLife app. This policy explains how DailyLife accesses, collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use Google sign-in, Google Drive backup, restore and sync, social features, and Firebase services.

1. Information we process and why

  • Google sign-in: If you choose Google OAuth sign-in, we receive your Google account email address to sign you in and identify your DailyLife account. Firebase Authentication processes the email address and account identifiers needed for authentication.
  • Google Drive application data folder: We read or save backups of entries you create and synchronization data in your Google Drive application data folder to provide backup, restore, and sync. This folder is an app-specific data space for DailyLife.
  • Android device identifier: We use the Android ANDROID_ID to prevent duplicate registration and restrict social features for accounts that violate our terms of use. This device identifier is separate from the email address received through Google OAuth.
  • Social posts: When you use social features, Firebase Database and Storage process the text, images, and videos you upload. Content you post may be visible to other users through those features.
  • App stability: Firebase Crashlytics processes error and crash reports, app and device diagnostics, and Firebase and Crashlytics installation identifiers. We use this information to diagnose errors and improve stability.
  • App configuration and usage measurement: Firebase Remote Config uses information such as Firebase installation identifiers to deliver app configuration values. Firebase Analytics processes app usage events, app and device information, and related identifiers so we can understand app usage.

2. Access, use, and storage of Google user data

We use the email address received through Google sign-in for account authentication and identification. Our Google Drive access is limited to DailyLife's application data folder; we do not access your other Drive files. Files in that folder are used to back up, restore, and sync entries you create, and are stored in your Google Drive account. We process Google account and Drive data only as needed for the DailyLife features described above.

Our use of information received through Google Workspace API scopes adheres to the Limited Use requirements of the Google API Services User Data Policy.

3. Sharing and processing locations

We process information needed to provide these features through Google and Firebase services. We do not provide personal information to other companies besides Google and Firebase. Content you post through social features may be displayed to other users of those features. We use content in the Google Drive application data folder for app backup, restore, and sync.

Firebase Authentication is processed in U.S. data centers. Depending on the product and its configuration, other Firebase services may process information on Google infrastructure outside your country.

4. Retention and deletion

We retain account information and data needed to provide the service while your account is in use. Selecting Settings → Delete account in the DailyLife app immediately deletes your account information, social posts, and backup and sync files in the Google Drive application data folder, along with other data needed to provide the service. An exception applies to the ANDROID_ID of a user suspended for abuse: we continue to retain it after account deletion to prevent re-registration and circumvention of social feature restrictions. Contact us below if you wish to challenge or request deletion of that identifier.

You can also revoke DailyLife's access in your Google Account settings. Revoking access is separate from deleting your DailyLife account or previously stored data. Usage and diagnostic records from Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics may be subject to those services' separate retention and deletion processes.

5. Security and your choices

We restrict access to information to what is needed to operate the service and use Google and Firebase infrastructure for data transfer and storage. You can manage Google Account permissions and request account deletion in the app.

6. Changes and contact

If the data we access or how we use it changes, we will update this policy and notify users or obtain consent before the new use when required. For privacy questions, contact cs.daily.inc@gmail.com.
